RECYCLE   Jeffrey Hale ©1999

You’re real thirsty for a soda pop.

You grab a can and you pop the top.

You chug it down to the very last drop.

Do you throw it away?

No you better stop.

That little can is worth a lot.

 chorus:

Take the time.

Take time to care

Use it again and RECYCLE

Use it again and RECYCLE

You read the news from the Sunday Times.

The things people do just blow your mind.

You've read the paper and it's time for work.

Do you throw it away? No don't be a jerk.

Save a tree for what it's worth.

 repeat chorus

You make your lunch in a paper sac.

You wrap your food in plastic wrap.

Your daily life makes a lot of scrap.

If you throw it away it makes a very tall stack.

You can use it again as a matter of fact.

 repeat chorus

Aluminum cans and paper sacs, plastic bags, &

all kinds of glass, dirty oil, and a cardboard box

can be recycled at half the cost.

Rubber caps and plastic jars

with a little science can make new cars

There's many reasons to take the time to care.

With energy saved, you can clean the air.

to help this Earth that we all share.

 repeat chorus:

Take the time,  time to care

Use it again and RECYCLE. Use it again and RECYCLE
